Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy

Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) is a type of atomic emission spectroscopy for the qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of elements. By means of high-resolution spectrometers, the characteristic emission spectrum of an excited chemical element is measured like a fingerprint. With a wide range of applications in science and industry, LIBS is a versatile method providing material analysis in the ppm level and qualitative online process monitoring capabilities.

Ligand Tracer

Ligand Tracer

LigandTracer® measures protein interactions, minute by minute, during incubation and after wash. The binding curve displays the amount of bound protein over time, and contains information about affinity, kinetics and complexity.

The software running all LigandTracer models is designed to facilitate measurement startup and improve understanding of your real-time data. Together with thorough support material, you master the instruments in a few days.

Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR)

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is an established method for biomolecular interaction analysis. It is popular due to its sensitivity and its real-time label-free principle. Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) is based on SPR theory, however its advantageous optical setup measures a full SPR curve which enables new insight into interactions. For instance, PureKinetics™ feature that provides measurements of small molecules, lipids and biomaterials without bulk effect (typical DMSO artefact). MP-SPR widens the application range of traditional SPR from small molecules up to nanoparticles and even living cells. Measurements can be performed even in complex media such as serum.

OpenSPR is the world's only benchtop SPR instrument. It provides high quality, label-free interaction analysis for a fraction of the cost of existing solutions.

OpensPR is user friendly and sets up in just minutes, so you can start generating data right away. Our unique nano-structured sensor surface delivers repeatable, highly sensitive kinetic data for proteins, antibodies, nucleic acids, and more. Get on rate, off rate, affinity, and specificity data all from the comfort of your own bench.

Powder Flow Analyzers

Powder flow analyzers

Flow property measurements generally fall into two main categories: dynamic analysis and static analysis. Dynamic instruments measure flow properties as the test material is moving or is about to move. Static instruments measure powder that is not moving and typically has been exposed to pressure. For a complete picture of a material's flow behavior, both types of testers are required. For solving specific flow problems, usually one type of tester or test is required.

Patch clamp systems

patch clamp systems

Biolin is proud to present a range of the most flexible automated patch clamp systems on the market today: the Sophion QPatch product family and the Sophion Qube system.

QCM-D Analyzers

Q-Sense instruments enable real-time analysis of surface-molecule interactions with nanogram precision for a wide variety of samples and measurement conditions. With turn-key instruments, intuitive software and support from our experienced team we ensure that you will get the most out of your system. The product line is designed to offer a suitable solution for every kind of lab and application. All Q-Sense instruments are based on the Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring (QCM-D) technology.

Radiation detectors

ORTEC is a leading supplier of solid-state, high resolution, semiconductor radiation detectors. These radiation detectors are used in research, commercial industry, environmental protection, health and medical physics, as well as homeland security to detect gamma-rays, X-rays, and charged particles.

As an industry pioneer, ORTEC was the first detector company to develop in-house high purity germanium (HPGe) crystal manufacturing in the early 1970’s. Since then the company has continued its leadership role in HPGe detector technologies by developing the first N-type HPGe detector and the first commercial electrically cooled HPGe detector. Recently, ORTEC released the Profile S & C Series wide energy HPGe detectors and ICS™, an advanced integrated electro-mechanical cryocooling system.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   More...

Scanning Kelvin Probes (SKP)

Scanning Kelvin Probe

The Kelvin Probe is a non-contact, non-destructive vibrating capacitor device used to measure the work function (wf) of conducting materials or surface potential (sp) of semiconductor or insulating surfaces. The wf of a surface is typically defined by the topmost 1-3 layers of atoms or molecules, so the Kelvin Probe is one of the most sensitive surface analysis techniques available. KP Technology Systems offer very high wf resolution of 1-3 meV, currently the highest achieved by any commercial device.
